Puteri merana terisak-risak,

Berjalan bersama bukan suami;
Hari pertama penuh sesak,

Menghalang jalan di rumah kami.

Translation:

Crying Princess in tear-drops,

Walking together en't her hubby;

The first day hell-full of crowds,

Obstruction of parking along with buddy.

Pokok Ketapang

Pokok Ketapang tinggi menjulang,

Dahannya rendang tempat berteduh;

Duduk beramai hanya bersembang,

Sementera menanti senja berlabuh.

Translation:

Ketapang tree shoot up the sky,

Branches spreaded casting shades;

Seated together only talky,

While waiting for twilight be fade.
